(Hopefully) making it impossible for 22Squared to ignore me

22Squared is looking for a copywriter who can help them create work that is (as they put it) impossible to ignore. I think that’s me. There are only two problems:

1) As of this posting, there are over 500 applicants for this position on LinkedIn alone.

2) I don’t have the broadcast experience that a company like 22Squared usually requires.

My only hope is to convince them that I’m the type of thinker that they’re looking for. And that’s where this video and this site come in. So watch the video and then get the low-down on how I helped make it happen, well, down below.

Look how amusing this hat and glasses combination is, right? Would you say it’s impossible to ignore? That’s what I thought.

Make Cliff impossible to ignore.

Make social impossible to ignore.

Tennis legend Li Na was going to retire and Babolat wanted to help her fans say goodbye. The award-winning #LoveLi social media campaign found a simple way to drive 50 million impressions in just five days.

Make flying procedures for high-altitude airports impossible to ignore.

Who says that learning about best mountain flying practices for Truck Tahoe Airport has to be boring? Maybe all you need to do is to turn it into a country-western music video, right? Who says that anything can’t be cool?

Make it impossible to ignore a freakin customized wooden puzzle direct mail piece.

Maple Leaf Farms (America’s largest duck producer) wanted to grab the attention of a few dozen executive chefs to get them to put duck on their menus. Instead of coming up with some ho-hum branded swag, we sent each chef an interactive customized wooden puzzle. And there was a twist!

All three of these projects were pretty low-profile assignments. If you hire me, I’ll bring the same level of commitment to anything you throw at me. And that’s the Cliff McCloe Guarantee™.

What you’ll get from Cliff McCloe

Versatility on tap

For the past 12 years, I have collaborated with designers, producers, strategists, and video creatives to infuse the written word into an array of materials including advertising, digital, social media, experiential campaigns, email and blogs—the works! I also have extensive experience writing and creative-directing video projects.

Leadership at every step

I’ve led clients and internal teams at every phase. The Tone-Setting First Call. The Nitty-Gritty Strategy Session. The Free-For-All Concepting Meeting. The Follow-Up Laser-Focused Concepting Meeting. The First Client Preso (aka The Big Show). The Egos-Be-Damned Production Frenzy. The “I-Can’t-Wait-To-Work-With-Your-Team-Again” Post-Delivery Call & Backslapping Session.

A veteran storyteller and educator

I have performed in thousands of audience-interactive improv shows at the SAK Comedy Lab and at Universal Studios Orlando, which pretty much gives me a dual Master’s Degree in Collaboration and “Making Wonderful Things Out of What the Audience Gives Us.” I’ve also spent seven years as an educator in special ed classrooms. Both of those experiences taught me an irrefutable truth: If you want to take your audience somewhere cool, you have to start by meeting them where they are.

If you’re a 22Squared-er (22Squaredancer? 22Squared-a-Root?) and you think this was impossible to ignore, don’t play hard-to-get. If you’re the hiring manager or recruiter, my resume is in your inbox, so give me a shout, yo! But maybe sooner than later, okay? My dance card is getting full.

Cheers,

Cliff
