Columbia Bank, Meet Your Next Senior Enablement Copywriter.
Columbia Bank is bringing more capabilities to more business customers. The challenge is to make those capabilities easy for bankers to explain and for customers to act on, while keeping the brand consistent and the details accurate. That intersection of messaging, explanation, and cross-functional review is where I do my best work.
Ready and Able to Push the Columbia Bank Brand Forward
-

Umpqua Bank Omnichannel Campaign
Columbia Bank needs a writer who can speak to a variety of stakeholders and clients. To help Umpqua Bank build brand awareness among consumers and businesses as it opened its first Puget Sound stores, The Garrigan Lyman Group created the “We Heart” campaign to tap into Seattle's genuine passion for its neighborhoods.

Connecting Prospects with the Sales Team
Nintex sales professionals told us the same thing over and over again: conversations are the most effective sales tool for converting prospects. To prepare for Saudi Arabia’s LEAP conference, I organized the company’s conference landing page and drip emails around that singular goal.
-

Complex Topics Made Simple and Memorable
To build its business, Columbia Bank must explain complex topics to clients in a way that puts them at the center of the story. I have strategized, conceived, written, and creative-directed hundreds of B2B videos for dozens of clients, leading internal and external teams at every stage.
-

Creating Consistent Brand Experiences
After the Pacific Premier acquisition, Columbia Bank must stay hyperfocused on helping customers understand what to expect from the combined bank. At Splunk, I helped translate new employer-brand positioning into a consistent experience across the careers website and candidate communications.
-

Maintaining Regulatory Compliance
The next Columbia Bank copywriter may need to produce a wide variety of assets that require regulatory approval at high volume. I’ve co-created thousands of highly regulated T-Mobile assets, including web, social media, digital signage, and video.
-

Delivering Clear Internal Communications
Team members need clear, useful information to deliver the experience Columbia Bank promises. I’ve helped clients like McKinsey & Company, Point B Consulting, and Capital Group create memorable internal communications designed to increase retention.
Financial planning: A very, very, very personal marketing approach
A private client financial planner approached my agency to create a video for a very, very high-profile prospective client. Before the prospective client would even look at regular financial planning materials, they wanted to see evidence that the planner could speak their visual, artistic, and spiritual language and understand their non-linear vision of the future. This video proved the old advertising adage, “You can’t speak to everybody, but you can speak to someone.”
